Microsoft Office apps were coming with Calibri for the last 15 years. After considering user feedback for years, the software giant suddenly replaced Calibri with Aptos as the default font in Word, Outlook, and other Office apps. Although this change is permanent, you can change the default font on Office apps to Calibri or another one. If you are among those who want to do so, use the steps below to change the default font on Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other Office apps on a Windows 11 computer.

Change Default Font on Microsoft Word

You can launch a blank document in Microsoft Word and change the default font from the top toolbar on your Windows 11 computer. Follow the steps below to make changes.

1. Launch Microsoft Word and open a new blank document.

2. expand the Home Tab and click the down arrow icon next to Font Menu.

3. Select the font style you want to set as the default.

4. You can also change the font style, size, color, add underline style and color. These add-ons are optional.

5. Kill set as Default Click More at the bottom Ok,

From now on, whenever you create a new document or fillable form using the blank document template, the desktop app uses your set font style and size by default.

Change the default font in Microsoft PowerPoint

Instead of changing the font on each slide individually, you can change the default font for the entire presentation using the steps below.

1. Open a new presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint.

4. Select one of the default fonts from the drop-down menu.

1. Launch a new workbook in Microsoft Excel.

5. Select your default font from the drop-down menu. Change the font size and make other changes if you want.

Change Default Font in Microsoft Outlook
