Discord bot creation: how to get started in simple steps
To create a Discord bot, you'll need a developer account that you'll use to manage bots and their user interactions. Now let's get started with the simple ways to create a Discord bot:
Open Discord and go to “User Settings.”
Scroll down to find the “Advanced” tab. Then, enable “Developer Mode” as shown in the following image:
Now, click on the Discord API link highlighted in blue. This redirects you to the Discord developer portal on the website.
Go to the “Applications” tab from the leftmost panel. Then, click “New Application”.

In this tab, click “Bot” on the sidebar menu and click “Reset Token” to generate a new token. Tokens are confidential, and you either remember your token or create a new token. When you create a new token, you'll need to update it in your bot. Therefore, we recommend that you copy and save this token.
Click “OAuth2” on the sidebar menu. Then, click on “URL Generator” and enable the bot.
You can now go to “Bot Permissions” and then grant access permissions to the bot.
Scroll down and copy the generated URL from the bottom of this tab. Now to add this bot to your server open web browser and paste this URL.
Select the particular server from the dropdown menu, and click “Continue”. After this it asks for authorization. As soon as you authorize it, a human verification pop-up will appear. Complete verification to complete this process.
You have now generated your Discord bot and added it to the server.
