To start recording the screen, click on the ‘New’ button.

The Snipping Tool will start working. Use your cursor to define the area of the screen you want to record. If you want to record the entire screen, select the entire screen by dragging a rectangle from corner to corner. Similarly, if you don’t want to record the entire screen, just draw a rectangle around the area you want to record. You can adjust the selection by dragging in and out of the corners, or by selecting an entirely new portion of the screen. But once recording has started, you cannot change this selection.

Then, hover over the screen and click the ‘Start’ button from the Snipping Tool toolbar to start recording.

You can stop the recording at any time by clicking on the ‘Stop’ button from the toolbar and resume it later. Click on the ‘Delete’ button to delete the recording. When you are done recording, click on the ‘Stop’ button.
After you stop recording, it will open in the Snipping Tool window. You can play the video, save it or share it directly using the built-in options.
To save the recording, click on the ‘Save’ button in the top-right corner of the screen. Recording will be saved in ‘Videos’ folder by default but you can save it in any other location.
