Use Snipping Tool to Edit Android Screenshots on Windows 11

The best part of the Snipping Tool feature is that it automatically fetches screenshots and photos from your Android phone. You don't have to transfer those photos between Android and Windows or copy-paste anything. Take a screenshot on your Android phone and you will see a notification in the bottom-right corner of the Windows 11 PC screen.

Note that if you have enabled DND in Action Center on Windows you will not get any notification for mobile screenshots. In that case, press the Windows+N keyboard shortcut to open the Notification panel. You will get a screenshot notification there.

The Android phone name is also listed which is useful in case you have multiple devices paired. Clicking on the notification will open the screenshot in the Snipping Tool.

It is ready to be edited and annotated. There is another benefit to this seamless integration. The screenshot is also added to the Windows Clipboard. This means you can copy-paste it into chat apps, photo editing apps or file transfer apps.
